WCHFH Mission Statement Board of Directors How It Works How To Help Calendar/Schedule Home
If you, your organization or company wish to donate materials please understand that Habitat for Humanity only uses new fixtures, appliances and building materials in their homes. We adhere to building guidelines established by Habitat for Humanity International. We will build a standard Habitat home based on the family size, from 2 to 3 bedrooms and sometimes 4 in special cases. Therefore, if you wish to donate items such as kitchen cabinets or bathroom fixtures please be sure to notify our office so we may give you the exact dimensions and types of fixtures needed.
Having said that, if you have fixtures that you wish to donate that may not meet our requirements please call the office anyway with your materials. We sometimes hold materials auctions to raise money and we could still use your materials in that way.
The money you donate goes toward the construction of our homes. The perfect situation for building a Habitat House would be to have all the materials donated free and all the labor both skilled and unskilled donated free.
Unfortunately that is not how it is. Although we enjoy houses constructed with much donated materials and labor, there are times when we have to pay for materials and skilled labor to keep the houses going up for those people waiting in need. Therefore your donations are always needed and of course always tax deductible.
We thank you now for your generous donation.
No amount is too small or too large.
